Escape Rooms: Everything You Need To Know

– Action! – Thank you. I'm Keith with The Escape Game and we want to send you to prison. And we want to lock you in a dark room. Is that right? Did you read this? You can do it at The Escape Game. And we want to lock you
in a small enclosed space and you have to do math to get out. – There's actually a
lot more to escape rooms than being locked in a room. I'm Craig with The Escape Game and here's everything you need
to know about escape rooms.

First you'll select your theme. Everything from thrilling to
lighthearted or ridiculous. That's actually not a real one. There are still a lot of
themes to choose from. Once you pick your theme,
you'll meet your game guide. Oh, this is a game guide. – Hi, I'm Tiffany, and I'll be your game guide. I'll take you to the room and explain the specifics of
the game you're about to play. I'm always available to
provide clues if needed. – Nicely done. You'll enter a room where
you'll watch a video to receive your mission. – All right, we are in! Hey guys, gotta hurry. You in? – A mission might be launching a martian spaceship
before a solar flare hits or escaping from prison or recovering a stolen
painting in an epic heist.

Typically your team will have 60 minutes to complete the mission. It's you and your team versus the clock. Hope you're feeling heroic today. After receiving your mission, your game guide will start the clock and your challenge begins. Start by searching the room. You already found something. Maybe you can use that later. Look for patterns or
connections in the room. Anything could be a clue
or may mean nothing at all. Great, communicate with your teammates. You never know, the two of you
may have half of a solution. You'll solve puzzles, uncover clues, and crack codes to
progress through the game. And if you need a clue, you
just call your game guide. While the adventure takes
place in a physical space, you aren't actually locked in. So there's no scenario where
you're left rotting away because you can't solve a final puzzle. – Can anybody here me? Let me out of here! – Sure, it's not locked. – Oh, okay. Thank you. – But if you do escape, there's
really no better feeling. (cheering) That team killed it, nicely done! And of course you've got
to get that awesome picture showing off that you escaped the game.
